Bennett, Designer, for the Stewart Brothers in the late 1800s. Grandfather, Reginald T., was an Engineer and Draftsman; father, John L., a Painter and Advertising Executive; and brother, Scott Bennett, Painter, acclaimed by the most important, well known, and influential art critic of the 20th century, Clement Greenberg.    Allyson is principal Designer and Owner of “Allyx B. Interior Design,” established in 1989, and is also an accomplished Painter. The design firm has been selected and published as a full color newspaper lead story in the home section. Her design work has been included in house tours and she has decorated for the "Parade of Homes" in Santa Fe. Allyson has been involved in local art councils and also supports the arts by donating a piece of her art work each year to local fund-raising auctions. "The design of a room is much like that of a good painting – a tactile painting. Both must have a focal point, pleasing composition, and use of color theory, as well as balance and scale. Then a room, or a painting, is visually comfortable," she says. "Of course, a home’s interior must be functional, as well as being pleasing to the eye."    The marriage of Allyson’s love of interior design and painting was the impetus for her to have founded her own design firm. Allyson is a believer that surrounding oneself with a comfortable home environment is a building block for creating a balanced and happy life.
