marriage of the proclivity for Interior Design and an innate Artistic Talent for Painting was the
impetus for Allyson Bennett-Martinez to have founded her own design firm, Allyx B. Interior Design. Allyson is a
firm believer that surrounding oneself with a comfortable home environment
is one of the building blocks for creating a balanced and happy life. So, go

Allyx B. Interior Design, LLC has been successfully creating custom
interiors for their clientele for over nineteen years. We can oversee every
aspect of home decor from the complete design and finishing touches on
a newly constructed home to a total RENOVATION of an existing home...

It all started
in Scotland with great grandfather, Ernest H. Bennett, Designer, for
the Stewart Brothers, producer of custom classic oriental area rugs, in the late 1800s. Grandfather, Reginald T., was
an Engineer and Draftsman; father, John L., a Painter and Advertising
Executive; and brother, Scott Bennett, Painter, acclaimed by the most
important, well known, and influential art critic of the 20th century,
Clement Greenberg. Allyson continued the Bennett legacy by marrying her inherent love and talent for Painting and Interior Design to create an artistic-focused Interior Design Firm.
"The design of a room
is much like that of a good painting – a tactile painting. Both must
have a focal point, pleasing composition, and use of color theory, as
well as balance and scale. Then a room, or a painting, is visually
comfortable," she says. "Of course, a home’s interior must be highly functional, as well as being pleasing to the eye and most importantly pleasing to it's occupant."
Allyson Bennett-Martinez is the principal Interior Designer and Owner of
“Allyx B. Interior Design,” established in 1989, and she is also an
accomplished Painter. Allyson's education is in Fine Art and in Interior Design. She also apprenticed with a East Coast Interior Design Firm prior to founding her own Design Firm. Allyx B. Interior Design has been selected and published
as a full color, lead story in the home section of several newspapers. Her design
work has been included in house tours on the East Coast and she has decorated for the
"Parade of Homes" in Santa Fe. Allyson has been involved in local art
councils and also supports the art community by donating a piece of her art work
each year to local fund-raising auctions. |

Southwest of the United States and all the way to the Eastern Caribbean
Islands. The firm’s mission is to create inviting, well designed, yet
